MyLocationTrkr is a private location tracker. Your location history stays in your control — it is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account, and the developer has no access to it.

Data We Collect

When you turn on tracking, MyLocationTrkr records your geographic location — latitude, longitude, altitude, speed and accuracy — together with a timestamp. To label each point, the app also derives a city and region name from those coordinates. The app has no accounts and no sign-in, and collects no other personal information, usage data, or analytics.

How Your Data Is Stored

All location records are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and are synchronized only to your own private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. The data lives in your personal iCloud container. The developer cannot see, access, or retrieve your location data.

How Your Data Is Used

Your location data is used solely to show your location history on a map and in a list inside the app. It is never used for advertising, profiling, or any form of tracking, and it is never sold or shared with third parties.

Background Location

If you grant "Always" location permission and enable tracking, the app records your location in the background so your movement history stays complete. iOS shows a status indicator while background tracking is active, and you can stop tracking at any time from within the app.

Apple Services

Turning coordinates into place names (reverse geocoding) and syncing your records to iCloud are performed by Apple's own services. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Analytics & Tracking

The app contains no analytics frameworks, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your location records remain until you remove them. You can delete individual entries in the app, and deleting the app together with its iCloud data removes your records entirely.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children and collects no data beyond what is described above.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
